If you've been out of the loop (or if you were never in it), Wizards of the Coast is the company that got rich with a little collectible card game called Magic: The Gathering, then applied some of the prodigious profit from that game to buy original Dungeons & Dragons publisher TSR when the latter was near bankruptcy in 1997. They remain the largest RPG publisher in the world.
