FILM UPDATE — The Language of Story Once, back in the days before Scott fled urban life to set up shop at the Insane Angel Fortress of Solitude, he used to dispense his dubious wisdom on the craft of writing in the classroom. At long last, and under constant pressure from certain ex-students, he's reassembling his writing workshops in intermittent online form.

Features — Books for — Scott Fitzgerald Gray is a BC-based writer, story editor, and former core instructor at the Vancouver Film School’s Writing for Film and Television program. He’s written film, episodic television, and documentary, was a finalist for the inaugural Jim Burt Screenwriting Prize from the Writers’ Guild of Canada, and has had the usual number of projects in development, most with the support of Telefilm Canada, BC Film, the Harold Greenburg Fund, and Corus Entertainment. He’s been a script reader for BC Film, a judge for the Praxis Screenwriting Competition, currently reads for Telefilm and the Harold Greenberg Fund, and is a highly sought-after script consultant and story editor. Some of his most recent film projects and credits include writing The Road Less Traveled, in development with Corus entertainment; and script consultant for Neill Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell’s District 9 and Neill's D9 followup Elysium. Since way back in the 10th grade, Scott has spent far too much of his time mucking about with film mostly the writing of it. This section of the site highlights some of his insights into the writing process, and presents a selection of the screenwriting and film projects that have escaped from his mind over the years.
